CJ Website
The CJ website is a clearinghouse of information and resources. Its purpose is to increase awareness among service providers about the local Latino population, and to share resources, facilitate networking, and in other ways enhance the capacity of service providers to respond to our area’s growing population of Spanish speaking residents.
The CJ website aims to:
- raise awareness about the local Latino community by providing information – media reports, studies, statistical references, power point presentations, profiles of Latino residents, and links to other web sites – to dispel myths and promote cultural sensitivity and knowledge about Latino issues. Data on the website also helps service providers and their agencies develop and justify funding proposals for ongoing and new projects.
- inform the community about services, events, opportunities, and other resources related to the local Latino community which, among other benefits, are key to networking, building partnerships, and providing meaningful services.
- educate the community about Latino language access rights and provide tools to enhance compliance with them.
- engage the community in Creciendo Juntos and other Latino related activities by encouraging participation in them and receiving input (announcements, references, etc.) and feedback from the community.
- let people know what Creciendo Juntos is doing and provides a transparent way to identify and measure CJ outputs and results.

The web site, which began operation in April 2006, is the product of dedicated CJ volunteers, namely Linda Hemby and Rolando Méndez, recipient of the CJ Community Builder Award. Anna Sullivan, Bethany Hurley, and Andrea Hidalgo also made significant contributions to the development and content of the website.
